Erica (Clark) Loya studied Vaganova ballet technique, pas de deux, pointe work, modern/contemporary dance, Luigi jazz technique, musical theater, and character dance under the direction of artistic director, Vera Altunina at the International School of Classical Ballet.  She has performed as a corp member and soloist in productions such as, The Nutcracker, Dracula, Don Quixote, Coppelia, Giselle, as well as in excerpts from a variety of ballets.  Moreover, she has performed modern and contemporary jazz works by Eva Stone and Jerry Tassin, as well as a variety of other choreographers.  In 2008, she had the opportunity to travel to San Francisco to participate in YAGP (a nationwide ballet competition) and to spend the summer studying at Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet.  In addition to dancing, Erica enjoys practicing and teaching other art forms, such as painting, acting, and singing.

Erica's passion in teaching, above all else, is to see students not only to do well in dance class but to see them thrive in life.  Thus, she firmly believes that we don't "live to dance", but "we dance because we live".  Moreover, she maintains that art can be a unique vessel by which we express our gifts and true identity in Christ, creatively and with confidence.  She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Washington, and is married to to her best friend and supporter, Trevor Loya.

Erica is excited to be able to give to the community of Mill Creek and to begin a new year with Reflections School of Dance.
