Amber has been raised in the dance world her whole life. Her mother was a professional ballroom dancer and trained Amber to follow in her footsteps. Amber has been competing in cheer and dance since the age of 12 and soon began coaching at the age of 15.
Cheerleading has always been a huge part of Amber’s life. She started cheering in middle school and continued on to high school and All-Star before becoming an All-Star cheer and tumbling coach. Amber is currently the head choreographer for American Spirit Cheer and Dance camps and coaching Cheer at Lynnwood High School. She is thrilled to see where she can take the cheer program at Reflections.
Amber’s passion has always been hip-hop and jazz funk. She has been trained in many studios in Los Angeles including: Debbie Reynolds, Movement Lifestyle, Edge PAC and IDA Hollywood. In high school, Amber was a part of Latitude dance company and performed at the Orange Bowl Halftime show in 2010 and has also recently returned as a guest choreographer.
While attending UC Berkeley Amber directed, choreographed, and danced for many campus groups including: Danceworx, The Movement, and TrueLement (TL). Outside of campus she joined Chapkis Dance whose credits include: America’s Got Talent (Season 10), 1st place at Hip Hop International, 1st place at World of Dance Bay Area, 1st place at The Bridge NorCal Golden State Warriors halftime performer, San Francisco 49ers halftime performer, and host of Collaboration NorCal and SoCal.
After college Amber became the Public Relations Director for Prelude NorCal Urban Dance Competition and was able to see, first hand, the other side of the competition stage. She has recently moved out to the Lynnwood area and is so excited to be working with Reflections!
She would like to thank God for leading her to Reflections and knows that it is her calling to help students develop a love and passion for dance.
